Asahi Pentax KM 35mm SLR Camera & SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.7 Lens - Mint

Asahi Pentax KM - Rugged Mechanical Classic with Match-Needle Metering
This listing is for an immaculate, collector-grade Asahi Pentax KM 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) film camera in a classic Chrome finish, complete with a legendary SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.7 standard prime lens. Introduced alongside the K2 and KX as the direct mechanical evolution of the iconic Spotmatic line, the KM pairs the legendary reliability of a fully mechanical shutter with the modern convenience of the universal Pentax K-mount system.
Powered by a single LR44 / SR44 1.5V button cell battery for its open-aperture TTL match-needle light meter, the KM features an all-metal focal-plane shutter that operates mechanically across all speeds (1s to 1/1000s + Bulb) even without battery power. Paired with the renowned SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.7 lens—celebrated for its multi-layer optical coatings, outstanding sharpness, and vibrant contrast—this setup is a timeless workhorse for analog enthusiasts.
